Ok so it's obvious that winter is coming.. the mornings are darker it's getting cold and the rain is becoming more frequent.
So who's getting unmotivated?
Let me give you a quick reality check. Yes I know it's cold and wet but guess what? My goals still remain the same. So sometimes you just have to tell that little voice in your head which tells you to roll over for that extra 45 mins to shut the f*ck up, YOU have to make the conscious decision to chase your goals if you want to reach them.
If you lose your excuses you will gain results. The only person getting in the way of your goals is YOU. If you want it bad enough you will find a way.
For me personally winter is a struggle (I'm like a reptile, I love the heat) and I'm sure it is for most people but I think about all the hard work I have put in during the warmer months and don't want to be starting back at the beginning next summer. I have worked so hard to gain strength and refuse to let the change in temperature get in the way of the goals I'm chasing.
Here are my top tips for staying motivated:
Track your progress DONT just go off your scale weight, take photos, measure yourself, ask yourself how do you feel etc. A classic example of this is my scale weight and measurements havent budged much in the last 5 months but I am feeling stronger than ever and my clothes are so much looser.
I offer measurements for all my squad for this exact reason, we are our own worst enemy and you would be surprised how many people self sabotage when they don't get the results they wanted.
