I know when I don't have pre prepared food, I reach for anything and everything I can get my hands on ( I love food so much)
Over the years one of the many things I have learnt that preparation is king to success in your fitness journey. I find if I am prepared I will reach for what I have made, rather than something random that I would have grabbed from the pantry, that would leave me feeling bloated and sluggish anyways.
How we food prep in our house;
Set aside 1x day a week and have a massive cook up (usually a Sunday), consisting of;
If i have the major CBF's (believe it or not, happens more often than I would like to admit) I put the slow cooker on and chop every vegetable possible I find in there - I leave all the skin on, along with fresh garlic, chuck some beef in there as well as some organic tinned tomatoes with reduced salt & leave that on for 6-8 hours and you have 4-6 meals...BAM bob is your uncle.. well not mine his name is Merry.... EAAAASSSSSSSSSSY PEAAAAAAAASEY..righttt?
The only issue with making all this amazingly, tasty food is.. finding somewhere to put it.. I can tell you now, I am not very popular at work with the amount of fridge space I take up (usually 2 shelves) so having something to carry all my requirements in makes life soooo much easier. If you have the same problem... I have a solution for you.. definitely something worth investing in.
