Nearly every day of our lives we let fear hold us back from making decisions that have the potential to change our lives. I can't count the amount of times I have let my fear dictate my choices, fear was the boss of me at one stage in my life. There was once a time in my life when I let fear dictate my every move, I was too scared to do the simplest of things due to the fear of failing.. which is stupid because when you think about it every pro was once an amateur and was in the exact same predicament as you are now.
Fear is natural is how you overcome it is what counts, there is this evil little person inside you that convinces you not to go through with it because of fear and tells you its a bad idea then it all spirals down from there. The fear of being judged was also a huge thing for me, what other people really though of me used to matter, but as time goes on you start to realise is that its none of my business of what people think of me, and move on.
The reason I am writing this blog post is so anyone that is thinking about trying a group fitness class realises at one point or another we are all scared of trying something new, sometimes you just gotta take a big breath, put your big girl panties on and go full YOLO.
Here are what some of my amazing clients have said about when they first started vs now.
1. When i first started with Erin i had severe depression and anxiety. I was so nervous about working out in front of people and just being accepted by people but now, 12 weeks later those fears have disappeared. I feel accepted and supported by everyone who attends. My depression and anxiety is no where near the level that it was when i first started. Im so glad to have met Erin and all the other supportive people in this group :)
2.When I first started I was struggling with how my body changed after pregnancy, I was ashamed and embarrassed and didn't have the confidence to interact due to anxiety about my body shape. I was a soon to be hermit. After 3 months I have more confidence and have found myself not worrying about what others think because I know how much I've achieved. Erins taught me strength, to love myself and to achieve my goal without anything but friendship and dedication. I have found so much happiness in such little time. Thank you Erin xx
3.When i first started group fitness i was terrified!. i had very little confidence in myself and was super worried about what others would think of me. I am so glad i stepped out of my comfort zone and joined the group only to realise i had nothing to even stress about..everyone is so supportive of each other and our own unique abilities. I feel 10 times better about myself now and love seeing other people come along and feel the same ♡ if you have been thinking of coming along to a class, just do it..you wont regret it :)such a lovely bunch of people and you will feel so much better within yourself
4. Erin has shown me that it is ok to feel pain and she gives us info on how to help if we hurt in any way. She gives above and beyond and it makes you feel you can achieve more than you have ever before. Erin has helped both mentally and physically. So take the leap. I'm going through job offers and helping the 3 daughter s with our 3 new awesome grandchildren.. You need to know how important this is to you. No excuses.
