Being in the fitness industry, I have sadly seen a lot of people give up on their goals due to them not seeing results quick enough. I'm going to be brutally honest here so apologies if that offends anyone.. Long lasting results DON'T happen overnight, or in a week, or two weeks, so please don't be discouraged if you don't wake up with a 6 pack after an epic workout. Your body goes through a lot to keep you up and running, you didn't get to where you are now overnight so don't expect instant results. As they say slow and steady wins the race.
Yes, you might see people lose "weight" after doing a detox or cleanse but the truth is none of that is sustainable... this is coming from someone who tried to find a magic solution. In my younger years I tried every diet under the sun, in the hope I actually wouldn't have to join the gym and put effort into reaching my goals, boy was I wrong.
If you are not seeing the results YOU wan't then its time to change something you are doing in your daily routine, If YOU change nothing then that's exactly what will happen, nothing. If you are not getting the results YOU want, maybe its time to step up your game? maybe its time to look at your eating habits and be honest with yourself? Maybe it's time to stop with excuses & self sabotage?
As the old saying goes, you can lead a horse to water but you can't force it to drink. So in terms of health and fitness, you can get all the help and motivation you wan't but unless YOU wan't to actually make a change and take it on board the cycle will keep on repeating itself.
Look I get it some days you wake up with the fire inside you, and other days you wake up like the troll under the bridge. Its taken me quite a while to come to terms with mornings in general.
I completely understand that life gets in the way but it's up to you to find what works for you, maybe its waking up that hour earlier to fit in a workout before your busy day that way its done or maybe its taking an hour for yourself to go for a beach stroll, or maybe its leaving your desk for your lunch break. Truth is we are all different, we are NOT robots and we all enjoy different things.
Make the promise to yourself today and do something your future self will thank you for. I'm not fucking around when I say health is wealth.
