Move it may results...
Definitely wasn't easy but it came with good results. I found my body felt so much better and energised from cutting out all the $hit, much less brain fog too!
Towards the end got really tricky because as you know "Chicko" was heading off to the Middle East for 6 months so we were going out for dinner a fair bit and eating our feelings. We stuck to the challenge for 90% but did veer off the health track once or twice I wont lie.
Another thing I noticed whilst eating 90% clean was the price! If you cook simply and use a lot of veggies it is very affordable - I just did a shop today and for just myself to last the fortnight it was $90.00, now that was with some lazy purchase such as a roast chicken,pre-chopped stuff and frozen veggies so if you aren't a slacker like me it could potentially be much cheaper... And I got socks at coles haha so again could be cheaper if you don't buy socks like me (they were pink, I couldn't resist.. and I legit have about 4 matching pairs so I thought it was time to get my sock game on point) I hope you are proud Rachael.
During Move it May I found myself missing sweets, normally I'm all about balance and allow myself to have something if I crave it because I feel if it restrict myself all the time I will just binge and undo all my hard word. If I eat something that I have been wanting that wasn't necessarily a "healthy" choice do I beat myself up about it? F*ck no! If I want something I ENJOY it because I love food and have a healthy relationship with food.
What about my exercise?
Well I changed my routine up a bit to slightly lower weight and more reps (that was just a personal choice and to try something new) I have also been sprinting 3x a week for 10-15 minutes a session just from that I am noticing a change in my shape, funny thing is I am heavier than I have been in a long time yet I am leaner. Just goes to show not all results are scale based so please don't beat yourself up if the scale weight is not dropping - I rarely weigh myself I go by measurements, photos and how my clothes feel. I have put my measurements from the challenge at the bottom of this blog post.
What have I learnt in this challenge?
