Change is a constant in your life. Change can be that dreaded sh*t storm that can surprise you at any time, in any place, and threatens your comfort zone OR change can be the best experience of your life, it can broaden your horizon, help you to set new goals, and helps create action rather than constantly being caught in a daily routine, it depends how you look at change is it going to be that sh*t storm or are you going to turn it into something amazing?
I'm sure you have all heard that saying "if you want something you have never had, you have do something you have never done" Believe me I know Its hard getting out of your comfort zone and doing what you have never done before, but you know what that is where greatness stems from.
Sure, you can keep doing what you are doing now but things will just stay the way they are.. which is fine if you want a mediocre life, for me personally I want a f*cking awesome life full of opportunities.
Even for me change is hard, it is an internal battle I struggle with EVERYDAY, I will admit I am a creature of comfort and of course change scares the crapola out of me.. but you only live once right? Last year I decided to stop being so afraid of life and just tried saying yes rather than letting my brain take over and think of all the "what if's" and living in my comfort zone. Saying yes led me to enroll in my Personal Trainers course, getting a new job, new opportunities left, right and center came my way - this all came from being open to change and acknowledging I wanted to change my life and be less than ordinary. To me my fear of the unknown outweighs the fear of regret.
Here is a few tips on how to embrace change in your lives
There is nothing more constant than change, it is happening all around us everyday. If you don’t learn to embrace change and if you don’t move forward, you will get left behind. Being open to change is getting out of your own head and thinking of the possibilities before shutting them down without even trying them. Choosing between the unknown and the familiar is the hardest choice in the world. And while somethings don't always go as planned or work out, the important thing is that you tried.
“It is not the strongest of the species that survives, nor the most intelligent, but the one most responsive to change.” ~ Charles Darwin
This is a post about letting go because I have been carrying around far too much baggage lately and I'm not even going of a freakin' holiday! Doesn't seem right, so I have decided to let that shit go!
Why? Because I am sick of being angry about stuff that can't be changed, I don't want to carry around these shit feelings anymore. I want to release all the negativity so I can make room for a positive future.
If you're holding on to the past, you can't be in the present moment. It's only in this "now" moment that your thoughts and words are powerful. So don't want to waste your current thoughts and feelings by continuing to create your future from the shit of your past.
When you blame someone else, you give your own power away because you're placing the responsibility for your feelings on someone else
Ask yourself this, how can you be happy in this moment if you choose to hold on to anger and resentment? Forgiving others sets you free from the prison of the past.
Being this way also has an effect of our health.. Anger puts us more at risk for heart attack, high blood pressure, anxiety and depression. Forgiveness can alleviate these things.
